Our panel will be asked to explore the following questions for each topic:

Education and Research

  • How can blockchain develop global networks for learning?
  • Does Blockchain offer a model for the secure collection and sharing of all competency and education records?
  • Can the Blockchain technology serve to aid/transform the peer academic review process?
  • How can Blockchain impact the Sport activity?

Charities and NGOs 

  • How might Blockchain/DLT increase public trust and confidence in charities, promote legal compliance and improve management of the administration of charities?
  • How might Blockchain improve confidence in effective use of charitable resources and the actual impact achieved?
  • How might Blockchain help charities comply with regulations?
  • How might Blockchain/DLT and the Internet of value support a more equitable distribution of wealth?

Speaker Bios:


CECILE BAIRD – Co-Founder, Blockchain For Good (BC4G) and Decentrl  

Cecile Baird co-founded Decentrl.Agency a boutique marketing agency for blockchain startups based in London and Los Angeles. She has been working in crypto for over 5 years with over 40 startups, and has helped raise over £300M in funding.

She has placed clients in over 200 news outlets such as The Guardian and Reuters, in top tech conferences around the world including TechCrunch Disrupt and Money2020. She has participated in the organisation of over 30 global conferences, meetups and roundtables spanning 2014 to now, including the first blockchain roundtable at the European Union, the first Pitch at the Buckingham Palace, and helped launch the first Crypto category at The Europas in 2014.

In 2015, Cecile co-founded Blockchain For Good, a think-tank which brings together the greatest minds in blockchain to explore and debate the development of blockchain, for the greater good of humanity, society, economy and our environment.

She is an author with publications featured in Coin Telegraph and Coindesk and a speaker on blockchain internationally, for organisations such as SXSW and San Francisco’s TokenFest, and an expert advisor for the UK Government’s All Party Parliamentary Group for Blockchain.

ONER AVARA – CEO, My Next Match

An Avid sportsman and boxer, Oner is also an active co-founding member of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Boxing chaired by Chris Evans MP. Oner is passionate about encouraging the local youth and sporting clubs in Britain to engage in Boxing.

Oner’s background as an amateur boxer has helped him approach business in a sportsmanlike manner.

Founded My Next Match, it is a technology company working in the sports sector who are revolutionising the organisation of amateur and recreational sports across the world with a platform that helps international and national sporting federations govern their sports more effectively, protect their competitors’ health, improve athletic performance and make finances more transparent.

When he is not working or travelling, he is usually with his two children who also are very active in several sports. He also enjoys running and practising Boxing in his boxing gym Left Hook Boxing Club in Shadwell

MARCO ROBINSON – Founder, FreedomX

Marco Robinson is the creator of the prime tv show “Get a House for Free” on Channel 4 TV Station in the UK, a number 1 bestselling, an award winning entrepreneur Knighted philanthropist;

The success of this tv show globally inspired Marco to start the first charity using Blockchain technology FREEDOMX

This follows on from the huge success of NAKED Technologies, which created the world’s first asset and business backed Cryptocurrency NAKED DOLLARS currently listed on www.latoken.com

Marco Robinson was also given the honorary title of Dato’ Seri (knighthood) for his work with charity particularly in helping the blind in Malaysia be allowed guide dogs to be allowed into the country. This initiative started with the successful short documentary “Are You Blind” attracting over 15 million viewers.

He will release his third book this year entitled: “On the 2nd day God created Bitcoin & Blockchain – the beginners guide to the unstoppable revolution”

DR MARIA VIGLIOTTI – Director, Gradbase

Dr Maria G Vigliotti is a leading expert in computing with a vast experience in security, cryptography, blockchains, training in academic and non-academic environments. Maria is the CEO of Sandblocks Consulting, a company providing:

Maria is the Chief Editor of the open access journal Frontiers in Blockchain, Smart Contract section https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/blockchain/sections/smart-contracts#about, a member of the Distributed Ledger Technology Committee of the International Standard Organisation (ISO/TC 307)

Maria holds a PhD in Computing from Imperial College London. She has several years of experience in formal verification of code for concurrent systems in safety, critical applications, industry and academia. She also, worked on cryptographic attacks with The European Railway Traffic Management Systems (ERTMS), the European railway signaling system and the Cyber security strategy for the railway. Maria has published over thirty papers in reference to international academic journals and conferences.
